IG Away Day: In Retrospect

On our Away Day in Portugal last October we spent some time thinking about our goals and plans for the future. Diving headfirst into a busy new year, it seemed like a good time to revisit those discussions—and to share it with you!

Here are 5 goals we set for ourselves and some of the ways we’re working towards them:

  1. Our team has grown, and so has the variety of projects we’re working on. One of our goals was to consolidate a mission and vision that resonates with who we are now and where we’re headed. Having candidly brainstormed our strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations, we came up with something we felt could be our north star.
  1. We’ve had eyes set on working with more businesses in North America. We’re thrilled to share that in November, we proudly supported our first Canadian clients. Definitely gearing up for more such milestones!
  1. We wanted to integrate continuous improvement and learning into our business as usual to ensure we’re delivering designs that stand the test of time to all our clients. So we introduced monthly team-wide knowledge shares! These sessions have proven invaluable, providing a platform for capturing insights, and learnings across different team functions. Recent discussions have delved into intriguing topics such as: generative AI as a launchpad for creativity, not a replacement, and how even corporate presentations can benefit from referencing graphic design trends to communicate and connect to audiences in a timely way.
  1. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional account management, fitting into client workflows seamlessly, and being flexible. To capture and codify the ‘how’ of it all, we’ve been mapping the nitty gritty of our internal processes, and gathering client feedback. 
  1. Finally, at IG, our team is our strongest asset. To keep our skills and expertise sharp, last year our team members undertook training programmes in Project Management, InDesign, and Creative Leadership. We’re leveraging these learnings to provide a smoother end-to-end experience for our clients

While we know Rome wasn’t built in a day, we’re buzzing with positivity for what 2024 holds. Big thanks to our awesome team and clients for being on this journey with us!
