Setting out on a journey of expansion is exhilarating, but for our client navigating rapid growth across different countries, it posed a unique challenge—a maze of inconsistent outputs across their expanding global offices.
With the help of IG, both the client and their teams were able to save heaps of time by having standardised outputs. In turn, this minimised the back-and-forth communication and meant more seamless collaboration between teams.
Here’s what the project looked like:
Problem: Inconsistency
Each office – spread across different countries with multiple departments – had developed its own presentation style, leading to inconsistency, which made shared resources ineffective.
The divergence from the original template not only felt dated but also hindered collaboration as teams couldn’t interchangeably use slides or layouts created by others.
Solution: Synthesis and Style Refinement
To tackle this challenge, the initial step involved a meticulous review of existing materials, encompassing the diverse styles adopted by different teams.
Understanding the type of content, layouts needed, and successful design elements was crucial. A synthesis process followed, combining existing styles with new elements based on client discussions and additional examples.
Various options were provided to the client, some options stayed close to their existing brand, and some other options evolved further in terms of style.
This collaborative process allowed for iterative refinement until the preferred style was identified.
Implementation: Standardised Template and Resource Bank
With the chosen style, the next phase focused on creating a standardised template and guidelines. This step ensured a cohesive and modern approach to presentations across all offices.
The innovation didn’t stop there. A comprehensive bank of layouts, graphics, and icons was crafted.
These became essential resources for the client’s teams, empowering them to efficiently create new decks and slides while maintaining a consistent and polished look.
Crucially, attention was given to frequently used slides, such as intros and credentials in proposals.
These were elevated to serve as prime examples of the new style. The result was transformative.
The client emerged with a refreshed, modern, and standardised style, which was implemented seamlessly across all offices and teams. This not only elevated the quality of their communications but also facilitated smoother collaboration between teams.
With less time spent on creating slides from scratch, the client now enjoys a more efficient and consistent approach to their presentation design.
